    The transcript of proceedings is completed, and the Record of Appeal was uploaded on the E-Litigation Portal on 1st April 2022. Counsel for the appellant informed that there are some outstanding housekeeping matters to which he must attend (i) to place himself on record and (ii) to deal with the filing of an amended Notice of Appeal.  Counsel indicated that he should be in a position to put himself on record within a month and thereafter do the other necessaries.

    1.    The matter is adjourned to the next Status Hearing of the court for the Territory of Anguilla scheduled for 11th September 2023 to allow the appellant to take the necessary steps to regularize his legal representation.
     
    2.    The Registrar of the High Court shall serve a copy of this order on the appellant and shall provide proof of service thereafter.
       
       
    Reason:  
    The transcript is completed and the Record of Appeal was uploaded to the E-Litigation Portal on 14th November 2022. The appellant informed that he has an attorney however the attorney is not registered to work in Anguilla and needs to make the necessary arrangements to do so. The respondent did not object to the request for the adjournment to allow the appellant’s attorney to regularize his status in relation to representing the appellant.

    2.    The Registrar of the High Court shall take the necessary steps to appoint counsel to represent the appellant for his appeal.
    3.    The matter is removed from the status hearing list pending the availability of the transcript.
    4.    The matter will be relisted at the next status hearing upon availability of the transcript or on a date to be fixed by the Chief Registrar.
    5.    The Registrar of the High Court shall serve a copy of this order on the appellant and shall provide proof of service thereafter.

    The transcript is incomplete; however, it is almost ready. This is a legal aid matter and the court ordered that the Registrar assign counsel to the appellant. However, the Registrar has not been able to assign counsel as yet.

    The transcript is incomplete. There have been some challenges in completing the transcripts as the transcriptionist was unwell.
     
    This is a legal aid matter. The court ordered that the Registrar assign counsel to the appellant. However, the registrar has not been able to assign counsel as yet. The registrar has made local inquiries but has not been successful.
