The E-Litigation Portal (the “Portal”) will be going live for Antigua and Barbuda for the mandatory electronic filing of all new matters filed in the Family Division of the Magistrates Court from Thursday, 20th October, 2021.
The Court office will conduct training for Practitioners and their support staff, during the month of October 2022. The training is structured for persons to attend one of two half-day sessions scheduled for Friday 14th October, 2022. All attendees must register with the Magistrate at the Family Court in order to secure a training spot.
From 20th October, 2022 there will be no manual filings accepted by the Court Office for any of the new proceedings which are commenced on the Portal in the Family Division of the Magistrates Court.
Practitioners who are not yet registered on the Portal are encouraged to register themselves and their law Firms on the Portal as soon as possible and to make a payment to place funds into their firms’ escrow account in order to avoid any inconvenience when filing.
